Hi, we’re Respuro Labs. A start-up born from sleepless nights and an unshakeable desire to help during the COVID-19 global pandemic.

We’ve designed an ultra-new style of FFP3 face mask called the R3SP. It’s transparent, high-safety and comfortable to wear. Lip-reading friendly and eco-friendly. The way masks should be.

We’re a small team who want to make a big difference.

Our story starts in our kitchen in March 2020. We sat together, heartbroken and saddened to see the COVID-19 pandemic unfolding before us and we racked our brains about how we could help. How we could help protect the NHS, the front line workers, the commuters, the people trying to get to work, people trying to go to the supermarket, and the people wanting to see their loved ones. All of us want to do our best to be safe, to not catch the virus, to not spread it to others.

Masks are how we chose to help. We read the horrifying news stories about the bruising and discomfort some masks caused, we listened to the people who just wanted to be able to share a smile, and we saw the difficulties people with hearing and speech loss were facing in simply trying to communicate.

It was frustrating to see the masks on the market… cheap one-use masks that create a worrying amount of waste, expensive masks that make you look like Darth Vader. And a global shortage due to high demand that made meltblown and spunbond polypropylene materials traditionally used in masks difficult to source.

So, we hatched a plan and decided to make masks the way they should be: clear and comfortable without compromising on safety or the planet.

We imagined a brand newly-engineered design.

After countless hours of research, a bunch of prototypes, and a whole load of support from family, friends, medical professionals, notified bodies, hospital trusts and charities, we are so proud to present to you… the R3SP.
