About
In 2009 a Captain with the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to assist an injured patient in a densely crowded arena. Getting to the patient was hard enough, extracting the patient was next to impossible with available patient movement systems and almost resulted in a loss of life. Vowing to find a way to ensure such a event would not occur again - the REX-R1 was born. Today, the REX team carries on that Captain's commitment to saving lives by optimizing the REX-R1 design and making it available to the medical community at large.
