School of International Biodesign

The School of International Biodesign (SiB) is a prominent medical technology innovation training program located in New Delhi, India. It is jointly administered by the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, operating under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. With a 15-year history, SiB focuses on nurturing MedTech innovators from India and around the world. SiB offers an Innovation Fellowship that trains aspiring professionals from various fields, including medicine, engineering, business, and design. The fellowship includes a comprehensive training process that involves identifying healthcare problems, refining solutions, and developing medical devices. Participants gain insights into the Biodesign innovation process and collaborate with peers globally, benefiting from a strong alumni network. SiB supports the entire innovation lifecycle, fostering partnerships with industry, academic institutions, and funding bodies to enhance healthcare solutions and improve access to medical technologies.
