About
We developed Sensegait, a non-invasive haptic pelvic neuro-sense device – for people with stroke and diabetic peripheral neuropathy who lost the ability to sense their legs. Users of the device feel tactile stimulation on their waist that depends on the stages of walking. This assistive device augments the somatosensation, helps to replace the missing information from the legs, and will lead to neuroplasticity and walking recovery. We are a multicultural and international team of engineers, data scientists, neuroscientists, and physical therapists, all working together to better the lives of people who survived a stroke and want to walk, move, and be independent.
