Sensory Soles, Inc.

Sensory Soles patented design is specifically developed to help children and adults stop sensory toe walking in a comfortable and safe manner. Through decades of experience in pediatric physical and occupational therapy, we have tried various methods to help children stop toe walking, including big and bulky orthotics. After having exhausted different traditional methods of treatment that were ineffective for many, we decided to create and test our own custom inserts. Understanding the sensory system and making connections between sensory input and toe walking, allowed us to address the underlying issue with sensory toe walking, instead of masking or restricting movement. Sensory input in specific areas of the sole of the foot, relieves the need to seek input through sensory toe walking. We developed Sensory Soles inserts for all of our children who we treated for sensory toe walking and had immediate success. Once the children came down from their toes, we were able to continue to build on improving their muscular balance with functional activities, which allowed for the creation of better motor patterns. Practice does not make perfect! Perfect practice is what makes perfect!
