The Sharps Free® Syringe Management System (SMS) helps solve the safety issues associated with needlestick injuries in the workplace and the growing financial and environmental costs of medical waste disposal. The SMS-100 automatically extracts the needle completely from the syringe and deposits it into a secure "needle cartridge". The remaining plastic syringe body may be disposed of, often in regular waste, or recycled. Once at capacity with up to 300 needles, the locked, leak proof, and shatter-resistant cartridge self-ejects for safe disposal and easy replacement.
