Skorpion Medical is a Skorpion Engineering division, entirely dedicated to medical applications with Rapid Prototyping technologies. 3D printing technologies play an important role in medicine, not only for the creation of prototypes for medical devices and machines, but also for the reproduction of patient-specific organ and skeletal structures models. These technologies can be applied to several areas of the medical field, with incomparable result: - Cardiac Surgery. 3D printed anatomical models of heart or vessels, reconstructed starting from DICOM images, can facilitate the surgeries - Orthopedics. Realistic models of damaged bones and skeletal structures can help physicians to plan the surgery - Maxillo-facial surgery. From 3D virtual models of the skull, it is possible to replicate prototypes for maxillo-facial surgery, but also for plastic surgery and dentistry - Medical Devices & Machines
