Solsten develops AptaSystem®, a widely applicable platform for fast and simple detection of analytes including diagnostic targets. AptaSystem® comprises an inexpensive, disposable biosensor, AptaChip® and an easy to operate instrument, AptaViewer® for reading the analytical result. When a sample is applied to the AptaChip®, presence of the analyte of interest will be electrochemically detected by a corresponding specific aptamer, and the read-out reported within a few minutes. The AptaSystem® technology is not limited to diagnostic use in humans and animals, but is also applicable for analysis of drug metabolites, food and feed safety, and environmental factors. Solsten offers its AptaSystem® to strategic partners and prospective investors – and thereby provides a new technology and business opportunity superiorly positioned for the fast growing point-of-care testing (POCT) market.
