Somedic SenseLab is a Swedish medical technology company that develops, manufactures and markets innovative diagnostic instruments for research and clinical work. We offer a unique knowledge in the Quantitative Sensory Testing (QST) range and related instruments and applications. Our ambition is to provide a full range of QST equipment, from tools for simple bedside screening to qualified clinical research instruments. The Somedic SenseLab QST products aim to give added value to investigators and researchers all over the world by providing reliable, user friendly instruments of high quality. Somedic was founded in 1971 and has gradually developed into one of the main providers of QST equipment in the world. At an early stage, Somedic resolved to target the market for sensory testing in both clinical and research settings. Since the first years, the Karolinska Hospital and the Karolinska Institute have been important to Somedic´s development. These institutions along with the School of Dentistry in Malmoe remain a valuable source of knowledge and continuously offer opportunities for research collaborations. The product portfolio includes equipment for measurement of mechanical and thermal sensation thresholds in man as well as animals, with the development driven by knowledge and our broad network. Company growth is based on understanding our customer´s needs for innovative products and services that create cost-effective solutions.
