Stanmore Implants can trace its origins back 60 years to its foundation within the Institute of Orthopaedics at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, north London.
Professor John Scales was the early pioneer of replacement bones and joints affected by malignancy and other destructive diseases. To this day Stanmore Implants endeavours to continue this pioneering work, and to deliver innovative prosthetic solutions to orthopaedic surgeons worldwide.
We are a highly specialised organisation, focussing on orthopaedic oncology, and complex primary
and revision cases in the upper limb, lower limb and pelvis. We believe in working closely with our
orthopaedic surgeons to achieve the most effective surgical outcomes.
To ensure that surgeons around the world can benefit from our personalised service, we have installed a state of the art video conferencing suite in the heart of our design centre. This provides surgeons with direct access to our designers and our fully interactive design development process.
We design and manufacture all our implants on site. This gives us direct control over every implant we produce and enables a flexible approach to individual requirements not only in terms of design, but also in achieving
the most challenging delivery deadlines.
