Beds for health and quality of life The Stiegelmeyer-Group produces high-quality beds and furniture for hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation facilities and for homecare. The company currently produces more than 100,000 beds per year with a workforce of some 1,000 people worldwide. The Group's headquarters is Herford, Germany, and further production sites are located in Nordhausen, Germany, as well as in Stolno and Kepno in Poland. In China a local production site manufactures specifically for the Chinese market. The company has been family-run since its foundation in 1900 and stands for quality and reliability – in Germany and worldwide. Distribution companies work in France, Poland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Finland, South Africa and China. Our products are exported to more than 100 countries. Stiegelmeyer Africa (Pty) Ltd is a fellow subsidiary and has been conceived in South Africa to introduce and offer the latest specifications and standards in terms of patient handling and mobilisation in the local hospital and care bed sector. The subsidiary focusses on the local South African market with its unique operating landscape by offering quality hospital and care furniture of all sophistication levels, in both manual and electric format. Parallel and of equal importance is the after sales service and technical support module, which complements the product range.
