It offers a new generation of implants for a new era in veterinary orthopedic surgery, thanks to its major innovation derived from human surgery, initiated by the founder of STIF Pet Care: the reconstruction of the ruptured ligament itself using a synthetic ligament made of free fibers, a patented technology. Dr. J.P. Laboureau, an orthopedic knee specialist, developed the synthetic LARS ligament in 1992, which is still widely used today, earning him worldwide recognition in the field of orthopedic surgery for humans. In his quest to continually improve existing methods and advance science, he founded STIF in 2010, a company dedicated to research in veterinary surgery.
