Our nonprofit science lab Street Physics has figured out a way to radically bring a century old medical technology into the 21st century for all the people in the world who have not been able to use it in all that time. Without imaging, a child’s broken leg is often set with misalignment and reduced functionality, early disease detection is missed, foreign body removal is difficult.
The medical x-ray machine has been in use for over 100 years but its benefits have not been enjoyed by millions of people living “off-the-grid” We are solving and overcoming the 3 main obstacles: High cost, High tech maintenance, Large electrical power requirement.
