Surgical Site Solutions, Inc. developed and markets the ClipVac Product that removes body hair from patients prior to surgery in a far more efficient and effective manner than current methods. This innovative patented system utilizes a small rechargeable portable vacuum coupled with a disposable filter, flexible tube and a suction port that fits most current clippers. When body hair is clipped, the ClipVac system removes the hair as its being clipped, providing a clear view of the skin. The hair is trapped in a disposable filter that is discarded after each use eliminating the need of "tape" off the skin to remove the hair, which in turn eliminates potential skin irritation and reactions.
