Team-AB

Team-AB is a UK-based industry body established in February 2024 to represent medical device approved bodies. Formed with support from 11 certification organizations, including BSI Assurance and TÜV SÜD, Team-AB aims to provide a unified voice in regulatory matters, particularly as the UK transitions from the EU CE marking to its own UKCA mark for medical device certification. The organization focuses on ensuring consistency in interpreting regulatory requirements for medical device manufacturers and supports the UK government's initiatives to enhance market access and healthcare outcomes through improved regulation and certification processes. Leadership includes Monisha Phillips from TÜV SÜD and Vishal Thakker from BSI Assurance, who serve as co-presidents. Team-AB plays a vital role in advocating for the interests of medical device manufacturers and engaging with regulatory authorities like the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).
