TRUCETALK® HYPNOSIS is a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Minority Business and a provider of hypnosis and clinical hypnotherapy. While attending school, we were formerly a distributor of quality medical equipment and medical supplies. While listening to someone talk about PTSD, you may notice some sensations in your body or some thoughts in your mind. You may feel some emotions or memories that are related to your own experience of trauma or someone elses experience of trauma. You may also notice some sounds around you or some images in front of you that remind you of something that happened in the past or something that could happen in the future. Whatever you notice, whatever you feel, whatever you think, it is all part of your unique and personal experience of STRESS. STRESS is not a sign of weakness or failure; it is a normal reaction to an abnormal situation. It is your minds way of trying to protect you from harm and danger. It is your bodys way of trying to heal and recover from injury and stress. It is your souls way of trying to find meaning and purpose in life. STRESS can cause different symptoms for different people. Some people may have nightmares, flashbacks, intrusive thoughts, emotional numbness, avoidance of reminders, anger, guilt, and depression. Some people may have trouble sleeping, eating, working, socializing, and enjoying life. Some people may feel hopeless, helpless, worthless, and alone. But you don't have to suffer from STRESS forever. You don't have to let it control your life. You don't have to let it define who you are. You can overcome STRESS with the right help and support. You can learn to cope with your symptoms and improve your functioning. The most important thing is that you choose to seek help if you need it. You choose to take action if you want it.
