UTC is a company formed of people with a passion born in the Operating Room and honed over years tackling real problems. The founders have a collective history of over 30 years working together with professionals in the functional ant tactical side of surgery

Over the years, they gained experience and openness from leading surgeons who shared feeback using breakthrough technology. They often found use-gaps that would otherwise complete the users’ satisfaction.

They observed that while most of the leading edge technologies were highly valuable, they lacked local nuance as there were designed for wide global use. This compromise often lacked subtle attention to local needs that are easily elusive and habitually missed.

Ergonomic designed for a smaller average body build was one such factor. More specifically to PCNL, designing to manage and prevent puncture and/or guidewire misdirection was a gap. Users were simply reticent to admit to these unless one was observing the misfortune when it happens more often than random. Some newer techniques that required high absolute standards of skill were never an issue and were well understood when you asked. Until that is, one notices how practitioner never selected these technique through omission. Eventually this restricted patient access to higher quality and more effective solutions.

The company was eventually founded when they saw an open gap and had the right resources and engineering capability to resolve it. This lead to the joining of minds resulting in the company’s first such device, the MuTech
