Vail Industries was created to be the first tech business in the United States to design a vitals monitoring wearable for children over the age of 1 year. The founders discovered the need for this device during a deeply personal tragedy. The loss of their 16 month old daughter, Vail, to Sudden Unexplained Death in Children (SUDC). In the months that followed her death, the Nelsons could not find a way to stop the constant worry for the well-being of their surviving child, Aspen, age 4. While they found and utilized a night-time monitoring device, it wasn't enough to calm their fears. Nor did that device do anything to collect data and encourage the research desperately needed to get answers about the cause of SUDC. It was during this time that the VAIL Monitor concept came to life. The vision of the bracelet is to provide superior vitals monitoring, multiple alert systems, gps location security, and industry leading data management.
