VasuMetrics

VasuMetrics is a student startup from DTU, with a focus on stroke prediction. Every sixth Dane will suffer an ischemic stroke during their lifetime. Statistics reveal a mortality rate of 18% dying within the first 30 days post-stroke and 45% within five years. Ischemic stroke is the leading contributor to adult long-term disabilities and cost the danish health system 7,5 bn. DKK annually. There is an absence of standardized methods for detecting precursors to ischemic stroke and a missed opportunity for early intervention. Many individuals remain unaware of their cardiovascular health status until they suffer a cardiovascular event, such as a stroke. We bridge the gap between high-end diagnostics and consumer health devices. Providing a direct measurement of stroke risk, making it accessible for general practitioners and private individuals.
