We are proud to introduce ourselves as the leading specialist in Low-Level-Laser Medicine. The company was founded in 2003 by Michael Weber, a German medical doctor and biochemist, who is nowadays considered to be one of the founding fathers of modern Low-Level-Laser Therapy (LLLT).
LLLT (also called photobiomodulation or cold laser therapy) is a regenerative, minimal- or non-invasive therapeutic approach that utilizes photons and the ability of different celular components to absorb them via chromophores. LLLT generally enhances cell functions and can thereby be applied for various indications. Up to a few years ago the application was limited to external use, often using red and infrared light as these wavelengths penetrate deepest through tissue.
Introducing the Weberneedle® Endolaser, we are glad to offer the first and only LLLT-device that can additionally be used intravenously, interstitially and intra-articularly. Thereby, our device facilitates the application of the full light-spectrum and is effective in a broader range of applications. While it has its origin in the areas of pain management and cardiovascular diseases LLLT is nowadays also used successfully to treat metabolic disorders (e.g. Diabetes), degenerative diseases (e.g. Osteoarthrosis), inflammations and immunesystem disorders as well as for cosmetic and neurological indications. A subcategory of LLLT is the field of photodynamic therapy (PDT) in which the formation of oxygen radicals induced by light-activation of photosensitizers is used to destroy viruses, bacteria, parasites and cancer cells.
Beside the actual technology we offer individual advice, provide educational events, ensure ongoing training and support knowledge exchange within our international network of passionate LLLT-practitioners to meet the needs of a rapidly evolving medical field in which the already high amount of studies increases rapidly and in which the indications and application methods are extremely diverse.
