X-Illumina is developing a revolutionary portable medical x-ray imaging system for use in urgent care delivery domestically and as a first line of care in developing nations. Currently available "portable" x-ray systems are not truly portable. The focus of X-Illumina is to develop and commercialize the world's first lightweight (< 5lbs) imaging system. This revolution is made possible by unique patented technology for generating the required x-rays in a new and efficient way. The result is a compact device that provides hospital quality images and is powered from a rechargeable battery or a single solar panel.
