It was founded in 2020 by four seasoned industry professionals: Dr. Paul Edwards, Dr. Vitaly Efremov, Dr. Gerard Short and Dr. Andrew McElroy. xPoint is a DCU (Dublin City University) spin-out company that is dedicated to research and development of Point-of-Care in-vitro diagnostic assay devices with initial commercial markets of obstetrics and massive bleeding, such as trauma.
