The Low Vision Center specializes in Conducting comprehensive Low Vision examinations to evaluate patients Visual condition, and Adjusting special Low vision aids and special magnifying glasses . Low vision can occur at any stage in life, but it primarily affects the elderly. Most people develop low vision as a result of eye conditions and diseases, including macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, cataracts, retinitis pigmentosa, and stroke Patients who suffer from these conditions , such as Macular Degeneration , are usually in the need for special glasses and Low vision aids , once regular glasses are not enough. At that point , A low Vision optometrist can adjust special glasses that can help these patients with their daily routine , such as : reading , watching TV, recognizing faces, cooking, driving, and differentiating color and more.
