BD Tijuana El Florido is a manufacturing facility operated by Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD), a prominent global medical technology company. Located in the El Florido industrial area of Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, this state-of-the-art plant spans approximately 15,775 square meters and focuses on producing advanced medical devices that enhance medication safety in healthcare settings. Inaugurated in late 2022 with an investment of $38.6 million, the facility is expected to create around 500 jobs over the coming years. The initial phase has already generated 75 jobs dedicated to manufacturing automated dispensing cabinets, which are essential for safe medication dispensing by healthcare professionals worldwide. These devices are exported to various regions, including North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia. BD Tijuana El Florido is part of BD's extensive manufacturing network in Mexico, which includes 12 plants and employs about 17,000 people across the country.
