About
Human Motor Patterns (HMP) is an innovative startup in the Register of Special Companies of Rome (Italy). The two co-founders are a specialist doctor and a physiotherapist, who in a short time involved other qualified members, collaborators and key partners, thus forming a multidisciplinary team of experts strongly motivated to the creation of innovative technological tools aimed at finding new diagnostic, therapeutic and preventive solutions in the management of Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSD) related to postural disorders. In 2019 MSDs affected more than one billion people around the world. Lumbar pain, mainly deriving from postural dysfunctions, represents 50% of MSDs (about 540 million people). Thanks to Technology Transfer and Precision Medicine, associated with the use of Machine Learning, HMP offers scientifically validated solutions obtained thanks to the work of the multidisciplinary team, destined to allow a rational and controlled approach - unlike the current methods of management of these disorders - which allows healthcare professionals to intervene with appropriateness for diagnosis, therapy and prevention, thanks to the objectivity of the results obtained. HMP Project The current project is aimed at prototyping an innovative medical device, the Brain Motor Patterns Optimizer Device (BMPOD). The BMPOD, protected by an HMP-owned international WIPO-PCT patent, will be used by a rehabilitative team in order to allow each individual, thanks to Precision Medicine and the use of detection systems associated with Artificial Intelligence techniques, to obtain an ideal foot support, thanks to the corrections of the imbalances present suggested by the MedTech device to healthcare professionals and to the verification of their effectiveness. This allows the design of personalized insoles, optimizers of motor patterns.
