Simulate the functioning of an automated insulin delivery (AID) system – free, open source, and in your own browser! Our tool simulates the closed-loop interaction between a person with type 1 diabetes and an AID system: The body's response to external influences (meals, administered insulin, physical activity) is simulated using a physiological model. The calculated glucose measurement is passed back to the AID algorithm, which determines the next insulin dosage – and the next cycle begins. The results are visualized in interactive charts together with the algorithm output; this provides unprecedented possibilities to play around with the settings and gain insight into the closed-loop reaction.
