A world crisis requires quick action, creative solutions and cooperation. Eindhoven University of Technology, known for its proven track record on cooperation with the medical world and industry, rises to the challenge. A platform has been setup where supply and demand, problem owners and solution providers, are brokered. The key resource is the creativity, brainpower and energy of our researchers, students and student teams: TU/e against COVID-19. From this TeamVERO started. A team that focuses on decreasing the risks of aerosol treatment in times of the covid-19 outbreak and after that. Aerosol is a mist of water droplets that are extremely fine and can not be seen. These droplets can carry all kind of harmful substances such as medication, toxins and viruses! Therefore it is important to decrease exposure in a clinical environment! In this multidisciplinary team with students and alumni from all over the Netherlands, from different majors we work together with physicians, aerodynamic experts and lab professionals to solve a critical problem.
