The Fetal Medicine Foundation

The Fetal Medicine Foundation (FMF) is a registered charity dedicated to improving the health of pregnant women and their babies through research, education, and training in fetal medicine. Founded by Professor Kypros Nicolaides in 1994, FMF is supported by an international group of experts and is headquartered in London. The foundation has donated over £45 million to support scholarships and research grants, significantly enhancing fetal medicine services. FMF offers comprehensive educational programs, including live and online courses for healthcare professionals. It funds research into pregnancy complications and their long-term effects, aiming to translate findings into clinical practice. Additionally, FMF has developed specialized software to assist in fetal medicine diagnostics and provides certification and quality assurance programs to maintain high standards in practice. By serving healthcare professionals, research institutions, and indirectly benefiting pregnant women and families, FMF plays a vital role in advancing prenatal health worldwide.
