WellC is a company specializing in ophthalmic medical technology. Since 2005, we have been striving to develop innovative technologies to solve lifelong ophthalmic challenges. Our first innovation is called Laser Asymmetric Keratectomy (LAK), and it is a laser ablation method that corrects corneal deformation to create an ideal central point symmetric shape. Its effectiveness, superiority and stability have been shown in multiple patents and publications of theses. Our partner eye surgeons are already performing LAK on their patients who experience dry eyes and keratoconus suspects. The result is phenomenal. As we are expanding our partner network, we are also working with laser manufacturers to develop an excimer laser that enables LAK without the need of further customization. This is a huge leap in the ophthalmic industry as it enables the entire procedure of corneal shape correction along with vision correction.
